I’m walking my talk (business update + free training)

by | Black Woman Entrepreneur, Black Woman Leadership, Black womanhood

Five days ago my family buried my grandmother, Lucille “Mommy” Smith. During her viewing last Sunday, I shared the advice she gave me when I was 5-years old.

Mommy called me into the kitchen and said:

“Quanisha, you have two things against you in life. You’re Black and you’re a woman, but never let that get in your way.”

Perhaps I was a mature child as I understood the weight of her words. With this instruction and her encouragement, I pursued all of my dreams. I didn’t feel anything was out of my reach.

Last year, I took the leap and founded the Black Women Rise Movement. Statistics showed there was a gap in Black Women Leadership. As a group, we desire positions of power, but we’re overlooked due to unconscious bias.

You’ve probably heard me discuss the studies revealing the impact of the strong Black woman stereotype on our lives. It affects how we treat ourselves as well as how we behave in our personal relationships and the workplace.

My goal was to offer coaching to encourage Black women to take charge of their lives. This meant we would no longer be prisoners to our conditioning, but live in alignment with our values. It involved us becoming proactive contributors to our success instead of waiting for someone (usually a White male) to see us and acknowledge our value.

Regrettably, I veered from this purpose.

Now, it’s time to “walk my talk” and live in alignment with my calling.

What does this mean for you?

Well, I’m going to provide with solutions to take charge of your life.

This is what I believe:

As Black women, we shouldn’t have to dance around bias hoping other people acknowledge our worth. We can take 100% responsibility and create our desired lives.

The best way to do this is to work for ourselves through an online small business.

Why?

Because then you can elevate your expertise, perform purpose-driven work and make money. Money that will allow you the freedom to have more control over your time, build a legacy for your family, and increase your financial power.

In order to accomplish this, you need confidence and a clear understanding of who you are, what you want, what you stand for, who you serve and how you serve them.

So, I’m starting over to explore this question:

What does it look like to take charge of your life?

So, how do we make this happen when we have families…

When we are overworked and overcommitted…

When we care for everyone else and not for ourselves…

Does any of this resonate with you?

You haven’t signed up for information about this, and I respect that.
But in order to build a business I can be proud of, I have to do this. And I want to do this with you.I want to share not only what business strategies work to generate revenue, but also methods to help you create your desired life and claim your worth.

What do you think?

If you’re on board, here’s what you can expect from me.

You’ll get posts sharing tips and resources, invitations to free trainings and sometimes announcements about one of my online courses or coaching programs.

All with the purpose to serve you and go deeper into this powerful question:

What does it look like to take charge of your life?

If you aren’t down with this new direction, then it may be time for us to say “Goodbye.”  But I challenge you to do this work.

Studies show that we shy away from self-introspection. If you’re ready to take charge of your life and/or become a confident Black woman CEO, then you have to Master Yourself. I hope you stick around!

Thank you for hanging out with me until the end of this post. I have a free gift for you!
